LICHIDE is the Organization dealing with community development in Tanzania whereby Since 1998 LICHIDE have been engaging in MVC and MVCC and HIV/AIDS projects etc. By that time the organization did not remain idol, it was doing different social activities under the donor, membership and communities fund accumulation in its different developmental programs like capacity building. This decision was based on LICHIDE’s proven ability to work with a variety of actors and develop viable and relevant interventions.
The NGO could look for funding from a diversity of stakeholders and its interventions could become more devours and flexible. It is an unfortunate reality that in the changing environmental degradation in Tanzania, there is a tremendous need among community based organizations for reliable technical guidance and support in this field. LICHIDE, as an NGO with a strong team in this area and a wide network of trusted people certainly is capable to respond to this challenge. LICHIDE have strong Board members who meet quarterly.
